Young and Accomplished, Pilmavet 2024 Emerges as an Intellectual Platform for FKH Unud Students

The Veterinary Student Achievement Selection (Pilmavet) is an annual event organized by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (Vetmed) at Udayana University. The purpose of Pilmavet is to select one representative, namely the Pilmavet Champion, to represent Vetmed at the university level Student Achievement Selection (Pilmapres). Therefore, the BEM of Udayana Vetmed once again organized Pilmavet 2024 with the theme “Navigating the Intersection of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Strategies for Global Progress” for its participants. Pilmavet 2024 is open to all Udayana Bachelor of Vetmed students.

Pilmavet 2024 began with participant registration on 3rd–10th May 2024. Unfortunately, due to lack of student interest, this event only succeeded in gathering nine participants. All finalists attended the coaching session which was held online on May 22nd 2024 via the Google Meet platform. This session invited the First Winner of the 2023 Unud Presidential Election, David Christopher Tjandra, and the First Winner of the 2023 Unud FKH Veterinary Pilmavet, Ni Putu Amasya Chikita Rivanny, as mentors.

After that session, it continued with a presentation session on May 26th 2024 offline in Practicum Room 6, Udayana Vetmed Dean's Office, Jimbaran, where each finalist explained innovative ideas related to the given theme through videos, posters and powerpoints. The presentation topics presented by each participant were truly varied, ranging from educational games about animal welfare to alternative chicken feed. Each presentation session was followed by a question and answer session with the three judges who were the same as the judges during the interview session.
