THE FIRST ACTIVITY OF THE NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION PROGRAM, PKKMB FACULTY OF VETERINARY MEDICINE UDAYANA UNIVERSITY 2024 SUCCESSFULLY HELD!

In order to welcome new students, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Udayana University held an Introduction to New Student Campus Life (PKKMB) activity which was held on Thursday–Friday, August 22–23, 2024, offline in the Nusantara Room, Agrokompleks Building Udayana University, Sudirman Campus. This PKKMB activity is one of several series of mandatory activities that must be followed by new students as a condition of student graduation.

This year's PKKMB activity of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Udayana University carries the theme "Ksatriya Abyakta Aguna Jagadditha" which means someone who dares to develop to be useful for the welfare of animals and the universe. The activity was attended by a total of 184 students consisting of 173 new students and 11 old students. This activity was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suartha, M. Si. 

As for some of the material provided on the first day, namely 

- Introduction to the Leadership and Academic Community of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Udayana University by the Dean of FKH Unud;

- College Education System in Indonesia by Dr. drh. I Gusti Ngurah Sudisma, M.Si, 

- Introduction of Infrastructure Facilities, Supervisors and Staff by Dr. drh. Luh Gde Surya Heryani, M.Biomed.;

- Practical Use of IMISSU (SIMAK), KRS Filling, PDDikti Data Verification, and OASE Exposure by Mr. Dewa Ariesprabowo Awanda Putra, S.Kom.; 

- Introduction to Student Activities (Nonacademic) by Dr. drh. I Wayan Sudira, M.Si.; and

- Introduction to the Udayana University Veterinary Teaching Hospital by drh. I Putu Gede Yudhi Arjentinia, M.Si.

The second day of PKKMB activities was filled with various material presentations like the previous day. The material presented included:

- Introduction to the Academic System of Undergraduate Education of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University by Dr. drh. I Nengah Wandia, M.Si.; 

- Understanding of Pancasila, 1945 Constitution, Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika in the Life of the Nation and State by Dr. drh. Nyoman Adi Suratma, M.P.; 

- Development of the National Movement of Mental Revolution: Indonesia Serves, Clean, Orderly, Independent, and United by Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suarsana, M.Si.; 

- Strategy and Procedure of Safety and Disaster Evacuation in Campus Environment by Bali Regional Disaster Management Agency; 

- State Defense Awareness Development Strategy for a Defense System Based on Love for the Motherland by Prof. Dr. drh. I Nengah Kerta Besung, M.Si.; and 

- Talk Show: Success Story and Alumni Sharing of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Udayana University by drh. I Wayan Yustisia Semarariana, S.K.H., M.Si. 

In addition to the delivery of material, the series of events on the 2nd day also included a screening of the Campus Tour Video and a Group Cheer performance from the participants. After that, the series of PKKMB 2024 activities was officially closed.

Overall, PKKMB 2024 activity ran conducively, the enthusiasm of the participants could be seen from the many questions that arose during the discussion session. The hope after holding this PKKMB is that new students will get information about lectures both in the academic and nonacademic fields.
