The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Udayana University held a training for the Preceptor of the Education Center


The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) of Udayana University held a Preceptor Training (Clinical Advisor) at the Veterinary Education Program Clinic for the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Monday 11/21/2022 at the 1st floor of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UNUD. This training activity was attended by the Dean, Vice Deans, Coordinators of Veterinary Undergraduate, Profession and Masters Study Programs, DVMP Supervisors, and Prospective Advisors from Clinical Facilities in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Unud such as the Veterinary Center (BBVet), Bali Agricultural Quarantine Center , Center for the Study of Agricultural Technology (BPTP), Center for Superior Cattle Breeding and Forage Animal Feed (BPTU HPT), Artificial Insemination Center for the Baturiti Region, Head of the District Agriculture Service in Bali, as well as practitioners from Animal Clinics in Bali.

 


The training activities were divided into 2 sessions, namely the first about learning outcomes and the DVMP curriculum at FVM UNUD by Dr. drh. I Gusti Ngurah Sudisma, M.Si as Vice Dean for Academic and Planning Affairs. Dr. Sudisma conveyed the development of the curriculum in the current DVMPFVM Unud. The currently implemented curriculum refers to the circular of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia where higher education is currently more emphasized on Case Base Learning (CBL) and Project Base Learning (PJBL). The second material was delivered by the Coordinator of the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine Study Program, Dr. drh. I Nengah Wandia, M.Kes regarding the Technical Implementation of Clinical Vehicle Guidance and its Evaluation. Dr. Wandia explained about the Education CenterGuidance system and the stages of its implementation. The stages of carrying out the Wahana Klinik Guidance start from the orientation period to the evaluation. Considering that the clinical activities at DVMPFVM Unud only last 1-2 weeks at each station, each activity must comply with the standards applicable in Higher Education.

 


Dean of FVM Unud, Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suartha, M.Si, in his remarks said that the Internship Activities at the Education Centerwere part of the Independent Campus Learning process. Activities (MBKM). MBKM is a flagship activity of the Directorate of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia.

 


Several stakeholders conveyed several activities that had been carried out. UPT Sobangan said that students had been asked to make a learning video project as an application of Project Base Learning. In addition, the stake holders provided several inputs, such as Drh. Listriani Wistawan from the Listriani Veterinary Clinic added that to provide Part Time opportunities at Animal Clinics to improve students' communication skills. The activity ended with the submission of a preceptor training certificate as a sign that the education center supervisors were competent in carrying out guidance as a preceptor.
