Friday, November 15, 2024, a visit was conducted by Kyushu Animal Academy, attended by 59 students and 3 accompanying teachers from the Department of Animal Management and Department of Animal Nursing. Kyushu Animal Academy is a pet nursing school located in Honjo, Japan, which focuses on training veterinary nurses to support and assist veterinarians. This visit is one form of cooperation between Kyushu Animal Academy and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Udayana University (FKH Unud). In addition to collaboration, this visit also aims to introduce each other's cultures, both Indonesian and Japanese cultures.

The event began with an inauguration at the Udayana University Library Building, Jimbaran Campus, by the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Program of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Udayana University, Dr. drh. I Nengah Wandia, M.Si. In his remarks, he hoped that this visit could be carried out annually to establish a good relationship between Kyushu Animal Academy and FKH Unud.

The visit began from the Dean's Office Building of FKH Unud, Jimbaran Campus. During the visit, several FKH Unud students from the Veterinary English Club accompanied the Kyushu Animal Academy students as guides. Additionally, several students from the Japanese Literature Study Program at Unud were also present to help facilitate the activity as translators. The visit also included a discussion session between FKH Unud students and Kyushu Animal Academy students regarding rabies cases, followed by an origami-making activity to fill the remaining time.

After visiting the Dean's Office Building of FKH Unud, the Kyushu Animal Academy group was divided into two groups. One group continued their visit to Anom Veterinary Clinic, while the other group went to Kedonganan Veterinary Clinic. Several veterinarians and paramedics from both clinics accompanied and helped explain the rooms in the clinics. The enthusiasm of Kyushu Animal Academy students was evident from the numerous questions asked during the visit.

The ultimate expected outcome of this activity is to conduct similar visits or research between Kyushu Animal Academy and FKH Unud, as well as to expand the network of students from both sides.
