SM-FKH Unud Strengthens Cooperation Through Senate Meeting II

The Student Senate of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (SM-FKH) of Udayana University again held the Second Student Senate Meeting which was held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, offline in Practicum Room 6, FKH Unud Dean's Building, Jimbaran Campus, and online through the Zoom Meeting platform. The meeting was officially opened by the General Chairperson of the Student Representative Council of FKH Unud and attended by the Functionalists of SM-FKH Unud, the heads of activities from the three SM-FKH Unud, namely the Student Executive Board (BEM), the Student Representative Council (DPM), and the Suara Satwa Student Press Agency (LPM), as well as representatives of FKH Unud students.

The agenda at this meeting contained the presentation of an evaluation questionnaire of the activities and performance of SM-FKH Unud which was designed as input for further activities and performance. Some of the things that are the subject of evaluation and discussion are the creation of the Student Creativity Program (PKM) for new students every year. The creation of the work is facilitated in the activities of Student Scientific Writing Training (PKTIM) and Veterinary Lecture Work (KKV). Thus, it is suggested to reconsider for new students to make PKM only once, namely during KKV, while PKTIM is carried out in the form of socialization about PKM.

Furthermore, evaluation was also given to LPM Suara Satwa related to magazine production and distribution. This evaluation is given with the hope that the distribution of Suara Satwa magazine in the future can be more effective and reach all FKH Unud students. Some suggestions such as publishing magazines in digital form were also given to LPM Suara Satwa.

Not only the presentation of the evaluation questionnaire of activities and performance of SM-FKH Unud, Senate Meeting II also discussed the performance report of each senate for 180 days, such as a list of work programs that have been planned, work programs that have been successfully implemented, and obstacles faced in implementing work programs. After that, the activity continued with the presentation and discussion of changes in the date of student senate activities with the aim of avoiding two activities that occur at one time.

In this Senate Meeting II, members of each senate conveyed their aspirations and responded to each other in a good and conducive manner. The Chairperson of DPM FKH Unud, Kadek Santiari, hopes that this activity can avoid miscommunication and build good working relationships between senates, so as to strengthen the brotherhood of all SM-FKH Unud. In addition, this activity is also expected to be a forum for the aspirations of each senate to improve each other's performance in order to produce a good and quality work program for FKH Unud students.
