Meeting the Leaders of FKH Unud 2024: Creating Harmony Through Dialogue and Collaboration
Jumpa Pimpinan Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Udayana University (FKH Unud) is an annual activity organized by the Student Representative Council (DPM) FKH Unud to bring together students with faculty leaders to build effective two-way communication. This activity is a follow-up activity to the Student Pulpit which was held on Monday, 4 November 2024. At this event, the leadership provided answers to students questions and complaints that had been accommodated in the Student Pulpit activity. However, students are still given the opportunity to convey aspirations and responses that have not been answered in order to obtain direct explanations and better understand the background of policies or decisions taken by the faculty.
This year, Jumpa Pimpinan was held on Wednesday, 13 November 2024, offline at the Hall of the Faculty of Tourism, 4th floor, Jimbaran Campus, with the theme ‘Dialogue Together, Forward Together: Collaborating to Achieve Harmony Between Communities’. The event was officially opened by the Dean of FKH Unud, Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suartha, M.Si., and attended by Vice Dean I, Vice Dean II, Head of Veterinary Medicine Undergraduate Study Program, Director of Veterinary Hospital FKH Unud, and several lecturers of FKH Unud. The event was also attended by every leader of the Student Senate (SM-FKH Unud) and a number of FKH Unud students. The series of events in this activity included the reading of the 2024 Student Pulpit Results, the 2024 Student Pulpit Response Session, the Discussion Session, the Signing of the Minutes, and the Submission of the Study. The issues discussed in this Leadership Meeting were the Implementation of the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) Programme in FKH, International Classes, Offline Lecture Dates, Practical Support Tools at the Jimbaran and Sudirman Campuses, Improvement of Course Grades, Study within Eight Semesters, and The Indonesian Veterinary Medicine Student Association (IMAKAHI).
Through this activity, it is hoped that the relationship between students and faculty leaders can be established more closely with better and effective communication. With solid communication, students have the opportunity to convey their aspirations, so that their needs and expectations can be better understood. Conversely, faculty leaders can also use this moment to explain their programmes, policies, and vision. The collaboration created from this interaction is expected to be able to create a harmonious and transparent academic atmosphere so that it can support the advancement of science and education, as well as the development of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University as a whole.
