Increase Practices Facilities, FVM Udayana Collaborates with Veterinary Clinics in Bali


Friday, May 20, 2022, located in the 1st floor Meeting Room of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) Udayana University, the signing of a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) between FVM and the Head of veterinary clinics in Bali was held. The event was attended by all Faculty leaders along with representatives from Veterinary Clinics and the Chairman of the Indonesian Veterinary Medical Association (IVMA) Bali. The Veterinary Clinics that attended were Anom Vet Clinic, Listriani Vet Care, Canifeli Vet Clinic, Kedonganan Veterinary Clinic, Sunset Vet Hospital, INUNEKO Veterinary Practice, Central Vet and drh. Ari Sapto Veterinary Practice. This charter of mutual understanding is a form of cooperation agreement that will be made between FVM and veterinary clinics in Bali.

In his remarks, the Dean of FVM Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suartha, M.Si expressed hope that with the establishment of this cooperative relationship, the collaboration between FVM and veterinary clinics in Bali can be mutually beneficial and beneficial for both parties. This cooperation agreement is expected to be a commitment to support each other in the field of education. He further stated that the number of FVM students was quite large so that they needed a clinical facility that could be used to apply the knowledge that had been received since the undergraduate education period, therefore that students did not have to wait until entering the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, it was necessary to develop cooperation with veterinary clinics. that exists. Most educational activities at the Professional Education Program level are in the form of clinical learning experiences and field learning experiences (FLE). Therefore, the existence of a clinical facilities that meets the requirements as a practice area is very necessary.

 


Furthermore, in the remarks from the clinic, represented by Drh Dewa Anom, he expressed his gratitude for being invited to work together to develop veterinary professional education. Existing veterinary clinics have been used by the community to obtain animal health services. It was further stated that the MoU is also expected to initiate an increase in the quality of services at veterinary clinics.

On that occasion, the chairman of the IVMA Bali, Prof. Dr. drh. I Ketut Puja, M.Kes When asked for a comment, he expressed his gratitude to FVM for using the clinic that is under the care of IVMA Bali as a place or area for clinical practice for prospective veterinarians. He also hopes that the experts owned by FVM are also expected to participate in building and contributing to the continuing education of veterinarians in clinics so that the realization of independent, qualified and dignified veterinarians for the nation and state.
