Improving the Competence of Veterinarians, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University Held an Internal Thorax Medicine Workshop.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University is holding an international seminar and workshop in collaboration with DBC Animal Health, with the topic Detailed Studies of Thorax Internal Medicine on April 29-30 2024. Located in the Seminar Room on the 3rd floor of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University with guest speaker Dr Darren Merrett BVSc , MVS, Cert. SAC FANZCVS (Specialist in Canine Medicine) which is a specialist in the field of Veterinary Internal Medicine. This workshop activity was attended by veterinarians from various regions, not only Indonesia but also Malaysia and Singapore.

 

The activity began with an opening by the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suartha, M.Sc. Prof. Suartha expressed his thanks to Dr. Darren is ready to attend FVM Udayana and provide this training. The workshop activities then continued with the presentation of material by Dr. Darren regarding the incidence of diseases of the respiratory tract in animals, especially dogs and cats. The workshop activities continued with practical management of thoracocentesis in dogs and cats. This hands-on activity aims to provide participants with direct experience regarding thoracocentesis in dogs and cats.

 

This international workshop activity is an implementation of collaboration between FVM Udayana and DBC Animal Health. This international workshop activity is an annual routine activity within the framework of continuing education that must be attended by veterinarians. With this activity, it is hoped that it can increase the competency of veterinarians, especially in Bali, to reach international standards.
