Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University Holds Veterinary Competency Exam for the 2nd Period of 2022


A total of 35 participants took the Student Competency Examination of the Veterinary Professional Education Program (UKMPPDH) organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University (FVM Unud) together with the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, by Computer Based Test basis in Denpasar on Saturday (16/04/2022).

 

The online examination takes place at the FVM Unud Computer Lab using a centralized Computer Based Test (CBT) system which is coordinated by the command center in Yogyakarta. Health Protocols are applied very strictly in the conduct of this exam. Present on this occasion the Veterinary Competency Exam (VCE) committee, the Central Supervisor, Dr. drh. Rimayanti, M.Kes. from Airlangga University, Coordinator of the Local Committee Prof. Dr. drh. I Made Dwinata, M.Kes. from FVM Unud. Also present were the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suartha, M.Si.

 


This Veterinary Competency Examination is a mandatory activity that must be passed by Veterinary Medicine students before they can pass as Veterinarians. This competency exam will be held four times a year. Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suartha, M.Sc. hopes that they will take the exam seriously so that all examinees can pass as expected..VCE this time is the 3rd time the exam is being held at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University and is the second period in 2022. This exam is divided into two sessions, The first session starts at 10:00 am until 11:40 am, and the second session of the exam starts at 14:00 pm until 15:40 pm. The exam is divided into two sessions due to space limitations and to maintain distance.

  



The Veterinary Competency Exam went smoothly. This was realized because of the support from the leadership of the Unud FVM, good cooperation from the local committee and central supervisor, as well as cooperation from the examinees. All SOPs that have been determined by the national committee have been fulfilled.

Students are required to pass a competency exam before graduation or better known as Exit Exam with the organizer being Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. According to the examinees, “it was deemed necessary to do a try out before they did VCE. Some participants also hope that they can get a grid of questions to study before implementing VCE, said Ferbiyanti and Elisabet Kezzi, after taking the exam.
