On Thursday, 15 June 2023, the Student Executive Body (SEB) Community Service division of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) of Udayana University (Unud) through a work programVEACE orVeterinary Aware and Carewe held Vaccination and Sterilization activities for stray dogs and cats. In this activity, we collaborated with the "Seva Bhuana Foundation" which has experience and is engaged in sterilization, vaccination, and education for the people of Bali.

The purpose of this activity is to show our concern as FVM students to participate in suppressing the growth of stray dogs and cats in Bali. It has been recorded that in

2022, cases of overpopulation of dogs and cats in Bali are now increasingly apprehensive, in fact 690 cases of rabies have been recorded in Bali Province which is one of the impacts of the over population. we offer assistance solutions in the form of free sterilization and vaccination for stray or abandoned dogs and cats to reduce the population and in the end we managed to raise Rp. 2,200,000.00 from the proceeds open the donation page on the app Kitabisa.

This activity starts at 07.00 WITA which begins with briefings the volunteers, then proceeded to the location which is located at Anyar Sari Market, Ubung, Denpasar and met with the "Seva Bhuana Foundation" with its team who are professionals in the field of sterilization and rabies vaccination. The activity then continued with tracking stray dogs/cats carried out by volunteers assisted by a team of experts from the Seva Bhuana Foundation and managed to catch 7 dogs and 5 cats for sterilized, not only carrying out sterilization activities, four of the seven dogs that were successfully sterilized were also vaccinated by the Seva Bhuana Foundation. This activity was attended by 8 volunteers, Head of SEB FVM, and Deputy Head of SEB FVM.

“It was fun, learning lots of new things about cat and dog vasectomy. from this activity I also learned a lot about working in the field directly," said Mira as one of the volunteers in the sterilization and vaccination activities (VEACE).

Activity VEACET his will not run smoothly if it does not get support from various existing parties. We really hope that this sterilization activity can become a routine agenda for Community Service BEM FKH every semester.
