Udayana University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Holds Judisium and Inauguration of Veterinarians for the Period of February 2023
At the beginning of 2023 the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University (FVM Unud) held a 2023 Judisium and Inauguration of Veterinarians, Thursday (23/2/2023). The event was held offline in the Nusantara room, Agrocomplex Building, 4th floor, Unud campus, Jalan PB. Sudirman Denpasar. The Judiciary and Inauguration activities were attended by the Dean, Vice Deans, Study Program Coordinators, Unit Heads, Laboratory Heads, Sub-coordinators in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University. Chairperson of the Udayana University Veterinary Alumni Association, Representative of the Bali Agricultural Quarantine Center, Representative of the Denpasar Agricultural Technology Study Center, Representative of the Denpasar Superior Livestock Breeding Center, Representative of the Bali Province Agricultural Service Office, Representative Head of the Agriculture and Food Service Kab. Badung, Representative of the Head of the Animal Health Sector of the Denpasar City Agriculture Service, Representative from PT. Charoen Pockpand, PT, Wonokoyo. The number of graduates who attended were: 2 Masters of Veterinary Medicine graduates, 48 Doctor of Veterinary Medicine graduates and 8 Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine graduates.
The event began with a prayer reading which was then continued with the report of the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning FVM Dr. drh. I Gusti Ngurah Sudisma, M.Si. Dr. Sudisma conveyed that the number of yudisium participants was 57 people consisting of 2 people in the Masters Program, 47 people in the professional program, and 8 people in the undergraduate program. Until now, the number of graduates from Udayana FVM drh is 2698 people. The highest GPA for the Masters program is 3.98 (with honors) and the lowest GPA is 3.15 (very satisfactory), the average GPA is 3.89. Based on the length of study for the master of veterinary medicine, graduate on time 4 semesters 50% and 15 semesters 50%. The highest GPA for the veterinary profession program was 3.93 and the lowest was 3.49 with an average of 3.69. With the title of passing is with praise 39%, very satisfying 59%, and satisfying 2%. Based on length of study, veterinary profession, graduating on time (3 semesters) is 71.92%, 4 semesters is 8.78, 5 semesters is 1.75%. The highest GPA for the bachelor of veterinary medicine was 3.81, the lowest GPA was 3.52 and the average GPA was 3.62. based on study time of 7 semesters (25%) and 9 semesters (75%).
The event continued with the inauguration and oath in of veterinarians by the Dean. At the time of taking the oath, the veterinarians are accompanied by clergy from each religion professed by the sworn veterinarians. There was something special about the inauguration and swearing-in of veterinarians for the period of February 2023 which was attended by 5 clergymen from official religions in Indonesia, namely Islamic clergy, clergy, Protestant Christian, Catholic clergy, clergy, Hindu and Buddhist clergy. The reading of the code of ethics for the veterinary profession was carried out after the inauguration and swearing in of the veterinarians was read by the chairman of the Bali branch of IVMA (Prof. Dr. Drh. I Ketut Puja, M.kes). the event then continued with the submission of transcripts and graduation medals by the Dean, accompanied by the chairman of the senate, vice deans and study program coordinators.
In his remarks the Dean of FVM Unud congratulated the graduation participants for being able to complete their education well. Prof. Suartha also congratulated the parents of the graduates and the support from parents and graduates so that FVM UNUD could take part in the National and International arena. To the graduates of the veterinary profession, “that this is the beginning for veterinarians to carry out their profession by adhering to the oath and code of ethics of veterinarians by equipping themselves with a license to practice. For graduate students of the veterinary medicine program who are graduated to continue to the veterinary profession program so they can achieve a veterinary degree so they can carry out veterinary medical procedures, similarly for graduate students of veterinary medicine to resume their profession. To all graduates to join the IKAYANA alumni association.
The event was continued with remarks and messages from representatives of the graduation participants, drh. Palagan Senopati Sewoyo, S.KH., expressed his gratitude for the knowledge and experience that had been provided and the facilities in achieving all of this to the academic community of FVM Unud. Also thank the parents of the graduates for providing endless support and prayers. Apart from that, he also apologized if there were any mistakes in thoughts, words or actions while participating in academic activities at FVM UNUD. The event continued with remarks from representatives of graduate parents, namely Mr. Edi Kaelani from Palembang as the parent of graduate Tariq Alkaelani. Before giving his speech, he started with a rhyme, "from Palembang bringing tempeh, to Bali by plane, I congratulate the graduates, I hope this is useful". As parents, I would like to thank the faculty leaders, lecturers and educational staff at Udayana University for patiently guiding and educating our children so that they can achieve good graduation. The graduation ceremony for the master of veterinary medicine, graduation for the bachelor of veterinary medicine and the inauguration of veterinarians took place smoothly.
