Udayana University’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Strengthens 2026 Budget Absorption Strategy, Emphasizes Collaboration and Strict Monitoring

Denpasar – Universitas Udayana, through its Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM Udayana), continues to promote the optimization of budget management for 2026. This was discussed during the Coordination Meeting on Targets and Budget Absorption for Goods and Services Expenditure held on Friday (April 17, 2026) at the Meeting Room on the 1st Floor of the FVM Sudirman Building.

The meeting, chaired directly by the Dean of FVM Udayana, highlighted the low budget realization in the first quarter (Q1), which has only reached 6 percent. Therefore, all units and study program coordinators were urged to strengthen planning and supervision of budget implementation in a more structured and measurable manner.

In his remarks, the Dean emphasized that achieving budget targets depends not only on proper planning but also on discipline in execution and reporting. He also underscored the importance of accelerating the completion of accountability reports, particularly for student activities, which often experience delays.

The Vice Dean II stressed the need for complete administrative documentation in every stage of budget execution, especially approaching Q2. Meanwhile, the Head of Administration explained the budget absorption strategy divided into four quarters: Q1 (15%), Q2 (25%), Q3 (25%), and Q4 (35%). To support this effort, each unit is required to submit weekly targets through the provided system.

The meeting also emphasized the importance of cross-unit coordination to ensure that activities are not carried out in isolation. Monitoring will be conducted regularly on a weekly basis to keep targets on track, with evaluations based on invoice realization and accountability reports.

Several challenges were also addressed, including the mismatch between student activity plans and the timing of budget execution, as well as the lack of synchronization between planners and implementers. In response, leadership encouraged strategies to accelerate activities and improve communication among all parties, including optimizing coordination channels.

Overall, the meeting marked a strategic step by FVM Udayana in strengthening transparent, accountable, and effective budget governance, while ensuring that all 2026 budget absorption targets can be achieved optimally.
