Udayana Innovators Receive Recognition in “117 Inovasi Indonesia–2025”

JIMBARAN, March 03, 2026 — An official certificate of recognition has been awarded to Prof. Dr. drh. I Wayan Suardana, M.Si., drh. Romy Muhammad Dary Mufa, M.Si., and drh. Dyah Ayu Widiasih, Ph.D., for the successful submission of their innovation proposal entitled “UTMT-1 (Udayana Tokcer Mastitis Test-1): A Reagent for the Detection of Subclinical Mastitis in Dairy Cattle.” The innovation was selected in the prestigious “117 Inovasi Indonesia–2025” program organized by the Business Innovation Center (BIC).

The judging process was conducted rigorously through two stages of selection. Each proposal was evaluated online by three judges throughout January 2026. Out of a total of 182 proposals submitted and re-evaluated during 2025, 55 proposals advanced past the initial stage. Following the final assessment, 51 proposals were selected as leading innovations in the “117 Inovasi Indonesia–2025” program.

This outcome once again indicates that the “100+ Inovasi Indonesia” selection has been unable to meet the target quota of 117 selected proposals for seven consecutive years since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, only 51 proposals were deemed eligible for selection, reflecting an increasingly stringent process focused on quality and market relevance.

With the publication of “117 Inovasi Indonesia–2025,” the BIC database has now compiled and published 1,629 of the most promising innovation works from a total of 6,729 proposals submitted by 4,674 innovators or innovation teams. These innovators represent 28 provinces across Indonesia, including members of the Indonesian diaspora abroad. To date, the BIC database stands as the largest and most comprehensive collection of selected innovation works in Indonesia, applying a demand-driven approach oriented toward user needs. The determination of selected innovations is carried out by a panel of judges to represent market aspirations and user-sector interests.

BIC extends its appreciation and congratulations to all innovators selected in “117 Inovasi Indonesia–2025.” Official notifications will soon be distributed via BIC’s automated email system. Meanwhile, proposals that have not yet been selected will be placed under a temporary SAVED status. These proposals will later be invited to participate in the upcoming “118 Inovasi Indonesia 2026” selection process, which will open soon.
