Through JMT, Udayana University’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Strengthens Preparations for BKKH and the 2026 National Seminar

Denpasar – During its regular Jumat Minum The (JMT), the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM), Udayana University, held a coordination meeting to prepare for the Veterinary Medicine Family Month (BKKH) and the 2026 FVM National Seminar on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the Meeting Room on the 1st Floor of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Building, Sudirman Campus. The meeting brought together the faculty leadership, academic staff, administrative staff, and organizing committee to strengthen communication and formulate strategic plans for organizing both events in a more integrated and inclusive manner, while ensuring meaningful benefits for the academic community and alumni.

During the meeting, participants agreed that this year’s BKKH would emphasize a strong sense of family and togetherness as its core value. The event is designed to foster closer relationships among students, lecturers, administrative staff, alumni, and the entire Faculty of Veterinary Medicine community. This concept is expected to create a warmer atmosphere of togetherness while strengthening everyone's sense of belonging to their alma mater.

The committee also proposed that the main BKKH activities be held at the Sudirman Campus. The proposed venue was selected with consideration for broader participation from students at all academic levels, including those in the professional veterinary program, allowing more members of the academic community to take part. Through an open and family-oriented approach, participation is expected to grow naturally from a genuine sense of belonging rather than from obligation.

In addition to the family-oriented activities, the 2026 FVM National Seminar became another key topic of discussion. The committee plans to develop a seminar theme that reflects current developments in veterinary medicine and strategic issues related to animal, human, and environmental health through the One Health approach. The seminar is expected to feature speakers from various institutions, including FVM Udayana alumni who are currently serving in government ministries, public institutions, and other professional sectors.

Alumni engagement was also highlighted as one of the main priorities in this year’s event. The faculty hopes that alumni will not only participate as attendees but also contribute as speakers, partners, and members of the Faculty’s growing professional network. To encourage broader participation, promotional activities and invitations will be launched well in advance, providing alumni with sufficient time to be involved.

The meeting also discussed the development of an integrated organizational structure that will coordinate BKKH, the National Seminar, and other supporting activities under a single management framework. This integrated approach is expected to ensure that all activities are implemented more effectively, efficiently, and collaboratively. In addition, community service programs carried out by faculty members are planned to become part of the BKKH 2026 series, reflecting the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine’s commitment to serving the wider community.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the faculty leadership encouraged all committee members to continue strengthening coordination and to carefully prepare every stage of the event. Through strong collaboration among faculty leaders, lecturers, administrative staff, students, and alumni, it is expected that the Veterinary Medicine Family Month and the 2026 FVM National Seminar will be successfully organized, serving as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen solidarity while enhancing the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University’s contributions to education, research, and community service.
