Through JMT, FVM Udayana Discusses Preparations for the 2026 National Seminar and Strengthens Internal Governance
Denpasar, July 31, 2026 – The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM), Udayana University, once again held its regular Jumat Minum The (JMT) as a forum for coordinating and evaluating various faculty work programs. The meeting took place in the First Floor Meeting Room of the FVM Building at Udayana University's Sudirman Campus. This JMT session focused on preparations for the 2026 National Seminar, the evaluation of student achievement administration, academic management strategies, and follow-up actions concerning campus facilities and infrastructure.
One of the main agendas of the JMT was the inaugural coordination meeting for the 2026 National Seminar, which is planned as part of the Veterinary Medicine Family Month (BKKH) series of events. This year's seminar is intended to address the Draft Veterinary Medicine Law, with the objective of producing an academic paper as the FVM Udayana’s contribution to strengthening the veterinary profession and enhancing public protection. The seminar is also expected to serve as a collaborative platform for academics, alumni, government representatives, and industry stakeholders to provide input on the advancement of the veterinary profession in Indonesia.
The meeting also discussed the seminar's implementation concept, which is designed to be more inclusive by involving alumni from various professional backgrounds as both speakers and participants. In addition to strengthening the alumni network, the event is expected to foster closer relationships among FVM Udayana graduates while supporting the faculty's development through various forms of collaboration. The National Seminar is scheduled to take place on November 6, 2026, followed by the BKKH series of activities on November 7–8, 2026. Various technical aspects, including venue selection, budget planning, theme development, speaker selection, and funding strategies, were also discussed during the committee's initial meeting.
In addition to seminar preparations, the Student Affairs Division used the JMT forum to evaluate the readiness of student achievement data that will be entered into the Simponi Padi system. The discussion focused on ensuring the completeness of supporting administrative documents, synchronizing data among Simponi Padi, SIMKATMAWA, and PDDIKTI, and strengthening coordination to ensure that all student achievement records are properly documented and comply with the required standards before data entry. These efforts are expected to support accurate reporting of student achievements while contributing to the faculty's Key Performance Indicators.
Within the Academic Affairs Division, the meeting discussed measures to ensure the timely completion of lecturers' teaching workload reports for lecturers in the Bachelor's, Doctor Veterinary Medicine, Master's, and Doctoral programs, including the timely submission of student grades in accordance with the established academic schedule.
Meanwhile, the General Affairs and Finance Division followed up on a report concerning the condition of the banner pole located in front of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Building at the Sudirman Campus. According to the morning duty team's report, one of the supporting steel braces on the southern side had been damaged, causing the pole to lean. Considering its location near the campus entrance and exit, which is frequently used by members of the academic community and the general public, the condition requires prompt technical inspection and repair to ensure the safety and security of campus facility users.
In addition, the JMT forum also served as a platform for coordination at the Udayana University Veterinary Teaching Hospital (RSHP). Together with students of the Doctor Veterinary Medicine Program, preparations included the installation of decorations to commemorate Indonesia's Independence Day as well as planning for an upcoming community service program focused on rabies vaccination.
Through the implementation of JMT, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, continues to strengthen cross-divisional coordination in support of the faculty's work programs. The discussions held during the forum are expected to provide a clear foundation for well-directed follow-up actions, encompassing the organization of the National Seminar, the enhancement of academic and student services, the improvement of campus facilities and infrastructure, and community engagement initiatives, thereby contributing meaningfully to the continued development of the institution.
