Suluh 2026: Concrete Steps to Create a Compassionate World through Education
On Saturday, April 18, 2026, the Professional Interest (Minpro) Suluh of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University (FKH Unud) once again carried out an outreach activity as an annual agenda. This activity was held offline at the Bali Street Kids Project Orphanage, Yayasan Kasih Peduli Anak, West Denpasar. The activity was attended by the management of the Bali Street Kids Project Foundation, the Vice Chair of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of FKH Unud, the Head of Minpro Suluh, the Chair of the 2026 Outreach Activity, the Activity Supervisory Board, the Steering Committee, and 21 participants who were children from the related orphanage.

The Minpro Suluh 2026 Outreach Activity began with an opening by the master of ceremonies, a prayer session, and the singing of the song “Indonesia Raya.” The event then continued with the presentation of a report by the Chair of the Activity, Made Dennia Ayumas Indriasari. The next remarks were delivered by a representative of the Bali Street Kids Project Orphanage management, Gecha, who hoped that this outreach activity would benefit the future of the children at the orphanage. A similar message was conveyed by the Head of Minpro Suluh, Florentia Lentera Kasih Rosari. She hoped that the activity would have a positive impact and could be applied in the participant’s daily lives. In addition, she stated that this outreach activity aims to serve as an educational platform for properly maintaining, treating, and caring for animals. The remarks session was closed by the Vice Chair of BEM FKH Unud, Ni Nengah Indra Pradnya Darmayanti, who also officially opened the activity. In her speech, she stated that this outreach activity represents a form of community service by FKH Unud, with the hope of providing impact, experience, and insight for the participants, particularly in the field of animal health.

Entering the main agenda, the activity featured a game called Jawab Jawab Darurat (JJD) as an educational medium on how to treat animals properly, served as an interactive and engaging educational medium. This activity was aligned with the theme, “Joining Hands, Loving Animals,” which emphasizes the importance of empowering the younger generation to encourage the community to unite in caring for and loving animals around them. Through this spirit togetherness, it is hoped that a compassionate world for all living beings can be realized. The activity then continued with the distribution of prizes to participants who took part in the game session, as well as the presentation of souvenirs to representatives of the orphanage management. These souvenirs were the result of a fundraising initiative conducted by the Minpro Suluh 2026 Outreach Committee, in the form of cash amounting to Rp750,000,00. Toward the end of the activity, participants were invited to write their impressions and messages during the event, which were then posted on a “dream board.” Several participants were also given the opportunity to share their impressions and messages directly. As a closing, the committee and participants held a group photo session to mark the end of the activity.

Through the implementation of this activity, it is expected that the children will be able to increase their sensitivity to the needs and welfare of animals, while also understanding the negative consequences of animal abuse. Ultimately, they are encouraged to become more empathetic and responsible individuals in caring for and protecting animals around them.
Overall, the activity ran smoothly and was filled with enthusiasm, as reflected in the participants’ eagerness in taking part in the entire series of activities.
