Strengthening Synergy Between Industry and Academics, Udayana University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and PT Caprifarmindo Laboratories Finalize Formal Cooperation
JIMBARAN – In a warm moment on Saturday (14/02/2026), the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University (FVM Unud) received a strategic visit from PT Caprifarmindo Laboratories, a subsidiary of the pharmaceutical giant PT Sanbe Farma Group (Veterinary Division).
The meeting, which took place in the Humerus Meeting Room, FVM Bukit Jimbaran Building, was a serious step to bring the relationship between the two institutions to a more professional level by drafting a Cooperation Agreement (PKS).
Although formal documents are only now being discussed, the collaboration between the two parties has been ongoing for quite some time. This was confirmed by PT Caprifarmindo Marketing Manager, drh. Anak Agung Made Agung Adnyana.
"So far, the implementation of the collaboration with the lecturers and students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, has been very successful. However, the legal formalities have not yet been prepared. Now is the time for us to sit down together to finalize the agreement so that this relationship has a strong legal framework," said drh. Agung.
Currently, PT Caprifarmindo is conducting field trials for several of its newest vaccine products in Bali, actively involving a team of experts (lecturers) and students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University.
The Caprifarmindo team was warmly welcomed by the Vice Dean II of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, along with the Cooperation Team and educational staff. In the two-hour discussion, both parties reviewed the initial draft of the PKS and reached agreement on key points.
Next, Caprifarmindo will take the draft to its headquarters in Jakarta for further review. This includes completing any company details not included in the initial draft, including preparing an official logo and witnesses for the agreement documents.
Strengthening this legal aspect is crucial, given that PT Caprifarmindo is currently intensively conducting vaccine field trials in Bali. With a well-established PKS (Partnership Agreement), the involvement of Udayana University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine lecturers and students in this research will have clear legal protection, formal academic recognition, and the potential for future intellectual property development (HAKI).
This initiative is expected to be more than just a paper document, but also a gateway for human resource development at both institutions. With clear legal standing, research activities, internships, and veterinary product development will have a solid foundation. The meeting concluded with a group photo session on the FVM Bukit Jimbaran campus, marking a new chapter in the synergy between education and the animal health industry in Indonesia.
