Strengthening Synergy and Coordination, FVM Udayana Holds the 1st Student Senate Meeting of 2026
Thursday, January 29, 2026, the Student Representative Council (DPM) of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University (FVM Udayana), held the 1st Student Senate Meeting of 2026 online via the Zoom Meeting platform carrying the theme “Langkah Bersama Menyelaraskan Arah.” This meeting aimed to synchronize all activity schedules within one administrative period as a manifestation of the spirit of unity among student senates within the FVM Udayana environment. The meeting was attended by the Dean of FVM Udayana, all leaders of the Student Senates of FVM Udayana (SM-FVM Udayana), Heads of Semi-Autonomous Bodies, and Activity Committee Chairs of SM-FVM Udayana for the 2026 period.
The meeting began with a report from the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, Ni Ketut Meidiana, who emphasized that the 1st Student Senate Meeting of 2026 served as a coordination forum among student senates within FVM Udayana to prevent scheduling conflicts between work programs, ensuring that all activities could be implemented effectively and smoothly. The agenda then continued with remarks from the Chairperson of DPM FVM Udayana, Khansa Zharifah, followed by the Dean of FVM Udayana, Dr. drh. I Gusti Ngurah Sudisma, M.Si., who highlighted the importance of communication, coordination, and a strong sense of togetherness among student senates. On this occasion, the Dean of FVM Udayana officially opened the 1st Student Senate Meeting of 2026.
The meeting agenda continued with the presentations of work programs by the three Student Senates of FVM Udayana for the 2026 period. The presentation began with the Chairperson of DPM, who outlined various programs, including Supervision and Legislative Training, Functionaries Photo Sessions, the 2nd Student Senate Meeting and Accountability Report Session, Legislative Seminars, Open Recruitment for New Members, the 2027 General Student Election, Student Aspiration Forum, Leaders’ Dialogue, and DPM Upgrading Activities.
Next, the Chairperson of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of FVM Udayana presented a series of work programs, including the 28th National Congress of IMAKAHI, World Veterinary Day (WVD), Animal Health Social Service (Kersos Keswan) 41, New Student Orientation Program (PKKMB), Udayana Veterinary Activities (UveA), Sports and Arts Week for the 64th Anniversary (Porseni Dies Natalis 64), Veterinary Family Association x Magenta Festival (BKKH x FESTMA), the 31st Veterinary Community Service Program (KKV XXXI), Various Social and Student Activities, the Election of the 2026 Cohort Leader, as well as activities of the six Professional Interest Groups of FVM Udayana, namely Rothschildi, Turtle Guard, Suluh, Veterinary Science Club, Vetholic, and Pet Learning Organization (P-LO). On the same occasion, the Editor-in-Chief of the Student Press Institution (LPM) Suara Satwa also presented its work programs, which include Organizational Management Training (DMO), New Student Journalism Training (PJMB), Creative Study and Member Recruitment (Tukar Pena), Language Month, and the Members’ Working Assembly (MKA).
Following the presentation of work programs, the meeting continued with a joint discussion session focusing on adjusting and synchronizing activity schedules to avoid overlaps. Through mutual agreement, the meeting proceeded with the reading and ratification of the official scheduling minutes as the basis for implementing all work programs throughout the 2026 period. As a closing agenda, the reading of the Memorandum of Understanding for the Organizational Management Training (DMO) was conducted, followed by a joint documentation session.
Through the implementation of the 1st Student Senate Meeting of 2026, it is expected that communication and coordination among student senates within the FVM Udayana environment will continue to improve, enabling all student activities to be implemented in a structured, coordinated, and aligned manner.
