Strengthening Operational Synergy, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University Holds Leadership Coordination Through “Jumat Minum Teh” in Early March 2026

DENPASAR –The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) of Udayana University once again held its regular "Jumat Minum Teh" (JMT) event on March 6, 2026, as a leadership coordination forum to strengthen the faculty's operational synergy. The online event was led by the Dean of FVM Udayana, and attended by the Vice Deans.

The meeting served as an important momentum to discuss the acceleration of institutional performance and to align various strategic issues within the faculty. The discussion was conducted intensively, considering several ongoing administrative transitions as well as the need to achieve the Key Performance Indicators (IKU) that must be fulfilled in the near future.

One of the main topics discussed was the organizational adjustment following the issuance of Rector’s Decree Number 387/UN14/HK.KP/2026 regarding the reassignment of administrative staff. Through this policy, six administrative staff members within FVM Udayana received new assignments covering several units, including planning, student affairs, finance, and the management of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (RSHP). “We need to carry out a realignment to ensure that services remain optimal. As a short-term solution, we plan to optimize laboratory staff to temporarily fill strategic positions affected by the reassignment,” said the Dean of FVM during the discussion.

In addition to organizational adjustments, the JMT agenda also focused on accelerating the finalization of the 2026 Performance Contract. This document derives from the Dean’s commitment to the Rector of Udayana University and is further translated into the specific duties and responsibilities of each unit. The Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs will focus on academic and student-related achievements, while the Vice Dean for Finance and Administration will target improvements in financial governance and faculty productivity.

During the meeting, the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (RSHP) also set an ambitious performance target, aiming to provide services to 6,000 animal patients throughout the year with a projected revenue of IDR 1.2 Million. Meanwhile, Heads of Study Programs and unit leaders were also assigned specific performance targets according to their respective responsibilities. The collective signing of the performance contracts is scheduled to be completed by mid-March 2026 as a commitment to transparency and accountability.

Another agenda discussed was the preparation for the leadership transition of the FVM Udayana Senate, considering that the current senate’s term of office will end in April 2026. The faculty leadership has begun planning the formation of a selection committee to prepare for the regeneration process. The Dean also emphasized the importance of coordinating with Heads of Laboratories and Heads of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Study Program (DVMSP) Station to formulate the criteria and requirements for new senate membership.

On the other hand, the faculty leadership also reminded all lecturers about the deadline for submitting their Lecturer Workload Report (BKD) through the IMISSU (SimDos) and SISTER applications. Since there has been no announcement regarding an extension from the central administration, lecturers are expected to complete their BKD submissions for the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year promptly to avoid administrative complications.

During the evaluation session, the meeting also highlighted technical challenges related to the National Diploma and Professional Certificate Numbering (PISN). The synchronization issue between the SIMAK Udayana system and the Higher Education Database (PD Dikti) became a serious concern as it may affect academic administrative processes. To mitigate potential delays, FVM Udayana will strengthen coordination between faculty operators and the central administration to ensure smoother data validation.

In addition, the leadership responded to several complaints regarding the slow process of correspondence and the numbering of official decrees (SK). The leadership identified a high administrative workload and limited human resources as contributing factors. As a corrective step, the faculty plans to organize a workshop for administrative staff to harmonize procedures, simplify document formats, and accelerate service processes.

Through this " Jumat Minum Teh" forum, the leadership of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, hopes that this coordination can continue to strengthen internal synergy, so that various faculty program strategies can run more effectively, adaptively, and be oriented towards improving the quality of academic services.
