Strengthening Governance Toward Integrity Zone, FVM Udayana University Leadership Holds “Jumat Minum Teh” Coordination Meeting

Denpasar – The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Udayana University held its leadership coordination meeting titled "Jumat Minum Teh" (JMT) on Friday, February 6, 2026. The virtual session took place from 05:00 to 06:00 WITA and was attended by the Dean and the Board of Vice Deans. This routine gathering serves as a strategic platform for faculty leadership to enhance internal coordination and discuss critical agendas for the early fiscal year, ensuring the organization operates effectively and transparently.

In an effort to accelerate bureaucratic reform and the development of the Zona Integritas (ZI), this meeting focused on a comprehensive evaluation and the updating of work unit Decrees. The faculty leadership emphasized the importance of optimizing the role of the Information and Cooperation Management Unit, which covers information services, exhibitions, and both domestic and international partnerships.

Furthermore, the team’s performance will be optimized in the execution of tracer studies, ethics committee supervision, and the management of high-quality scientific journals. Finally, restructuring student Interest Groups (Minpro) is also a priority to ensure better-structured and high-integrity management of student activities.

The Dean of FVM Udayana University, in his guidance, stressed the importance of collective commitment to these changes. "The update of unit decrees and the strengthening of governance are not merely administrative routines, but concrete steps in building an Integrity Zone. We want to ensure that every work unit at FVM Udayana University operates with high transparency standards and provides excellent service free from non-procedural practices," he stated during the meeting.

To strengthen the faculty's financial independence, the JMT forum also agreed on the plan to establish the Veterinary Innovation and Business Team. The formation of this team is considered strategic as it is projected to manage potential units within FVM Udayana University as independent revenue sources beyond Tuition Fees, while simultaneously serving as a motor for future institutional development. Regarding budget planning, the meeting discussed the initiation of the first phase of the Activity Operational Guidelines (POK) revision, prioritizing budget effectiveness for academic programs at the Undergraduate (S1), Veterinary Professional Education (PPDH), Master's (S2), and Doctoral (S3) levels.

Closing the budget discussion, the Dean added, "This POK revision aims to ensure that every rupiah we manage truly has a direct impact on the quality of education and the achievements of our students". o ensure precise technical details, in-depth discussions regarding this revision will continue in a follow-up meeting involving the planning team and all Study Program Coordinators (Koprodi). The meeting concluded with a commitment to immediately finalize the draft of the unit decrees so that the organization can move more acceleratively.
