Strengthening Cooperation: Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University Received a Visit from Denpasar BPTU-HPT.


The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) of Udayana University received a visit from the Balai Pembibitan Ternak Unggul dan Hijauan Pakan Ternak (BPTU-HPT) in Denpasar, at the Dean's Room of FVM Unud, Thursday 9 August 2022. On this occasion the BPTU-HPT was represented by the Head of the Center, Dr. Hary Suhada, S.Pt, M.Sc, Head of Sub Division of Administration drh. I Gusti Putu Ngurah Raka, and drh. Ni Wayan Patmawati M.Si who was received directly by the Dean of FVM, Prof. Dr. dr. I Nyoman Suartha, M.Si who was accompanied by the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. dr. Luh Gde Sri Surya Heryani, M. Biomed and Head of FVM  Unud’s Teaching Farm, Dr. dr. I Gusti Ngurah Bagus Tri Laksana, M.Kes.

The visit of the BPTU-HPT leadership was in order to introduce new leaders to the Denpasar BPTU-HPT. On this occasion also Dr. Herry conveyed about the sustainability of the collaboration between FVM and BPTU-HPT Denpasar. The collaboration between FVM and BPTU-HPT has been going on for a long time and is expected to continue. Further discussed about the cooperation program in the field of Tri Dharma PT that can be carried out by FKH both by lecturers and students. Several activities are being carried out in support of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, such as Industrial Internships for students and Campus teaching.

 


The Balai Pembibitan Ternak Unggul dan Hijauan Pakan Ternak Denpasar has two locations, namely the BPTU-HPT Office in Denpasar as a place for administration and the Pulukan Breeding Center as a Bali Cattle breeding place. As a Superior Cattle Breeding Center, especially for Bali Cattle, BPT-HPT has Bali Cattle that are kept at the Pulukan Breeding Center. The Breeding Center can be an excellent place for FVM students to gain experience in handling Bali Cattle. More Prof. Suartha expressed his gratitude for the visit and FKH is ready to prepare the extension of the Letter of Agreement (LoA) between the two institutions.
