Signing of Performance Agreements between the Dean and Work Units, FKH Udayana Strengthens Commitment to Achieving Key Performance Indicators

Denpasar, March 12, 2026 – The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University (FKH Unud), held a meeting for the signing of Performance Agreements between the Dean and the faculty’s work units at 10:00 WITA in the Meeting Room on the 1st Floor of the FKH Unud Building, Sudirman Campus. The activity was carried out as an effort to strengthen the shared commitment in supporting the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (IKU) while also enhancing coordination among units within the faculty.

In his remarks, the Dean emphasized that the signing of the Performance Agreement is not merely an administrative formality, but rather a reminder of the responsibilities and main duties of each work unit. He also explained that the establishment of the IKU Team plays an important role in monitoring the achievement of performance indicators, including recording, collecting, and storing various performance data produced by each unit.

During the meeting, several important issues were also discussed, including the role of the Unit for Educational Development and Quality Assurance (UP3M), which focuses on monitoring and evaluating IKU indicators as well as accreditation processes every quarter. In addition, the meeting highlighted the process of collecting data required to support the achievement of IKU indicators, including challenges in gathering evidence of learning activities based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and Case-Based Method (CBM), which are considered not yet optimal.

As a follow-up, the Dean conveyed a plan to establish performance contracts with laboratory heads and block coordinators to ensure that each unit has clearer responsibilities. The document will include obligations related to the submission of the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) and the implementation of learning evaluations. The IKU Team is also scheduled to convene specifically for periodic evaluations, where performance achievement documents will be collected every three months before being submitted to the Information and Cooperation Management Unit (UPIKS).

The Dean also directed each unit to begin preparing the 2027 POK Program in alignment with IKU achievements. For study programs, the focus will be placed on educational efficiency and student management. Meanwhile, the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (RSH) is expected to increase the number of patients and service revenues. In addition, the Dean encouraged the development of better communication through weekly Friday gatherings accompanied by informal discussions and community service activities, involving at least the Head of Administration (KTU) and the Sub-Coordinators.

In his direction, the Dean also stressed the importance of monitoring budget execution. Administrative completion of activities is expected to be finalized no later than 10 days after the activity has been carried out. Regarding recent staff changes, the Director of RSH was requested to temporarily assist in backing up the duties of affected administrative staff. Currently, only a few laboratory staff members remain active, while several others have been reassigned to support administrative needs in other units.

Furthermore, the faculty plans to organize a workshop on the development of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) instruments to strengthen the performance assessment system. The IKU Team will also be gathered to discuss more effective workflows in managing and reporting performance indicators.

On the same occasion, the Head of Administration, I Wayan Sukarta, S.E., M.Si., expressed his hope that materials related to IKU could be shared with all team members so they can study them from the outset. Meanwhile, the Head of UP3M, Dr. drh. Ni Nyoman Werdi Susari, M.Si., highlighted the importance of strengthening data for accreditation processes, particularly alumni tracer studies. She proposed that the tracer study team be reactivated to support these data needs.

The discussion also highlighted the position and management of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (RSH). The Sub-Coordinator for General Affairs and Finance, I Wayan Arnawa, S.E., explained that the revenue from the RSH business unit is currently managed by the central administration, meaning the faculty cannot directly claim the income. This situation is considered to affect the achievement of IKU 9 because several FKH budget allocations are related to RSH operations. Therefore, he hopes for further clarification from the central administration regarding this management structure.

Responding to this issue, the Director of RSH, drh. I Putu Gede Yudhi Arjentinia, M.Si., explained that administratively RSH is indeed under the Business Management Agency (BPU). However, in terms of finance and revenue, RSH still falls within the scope of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, making it necessary to reaffirm its institutional position.

Meanwhile, the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Prof. drh. I Made Kardena, MVS., Ph.D., emphasized the importance of cooperation and mutual reminders among the young veterinarians, particularly in collecting supporting documents for IKU. He also hoped that any new information related to IKU could be openly shared with the entire team so it can be understood and followed up collectively. In addition, he requested support from the Head of UP3M in conducting monitoring and evaluation of IKU indicators as well as in the accreditation process.

Through this meeting, FKH Unud reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving organizational governance, strengthening coordination among units, and ensuring the optimal achievement of Key Performance Indicators. These efforts are expected to support the continuous improvement of educational quality, services, and institutional performance.
