Realizing Quality Education, FKH Unud Senate Ratifies Academic Strategic Document and Innovative MBKM

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University (FVM Unud) held a plenary meeting of the FVM Unud SENATE on Friday, July 17, 2026. The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format, combining in-person attendance at the Meeting Room, 1st Floor of the Sudirman Campus of FVM Unud, and virtual attendance via the Zoom Meeting platform. This important meeting was attended by a quorum of 21 Faculty Senate members.

The main agenda of the meeting was the discussion and evaluation of the proposed Curriculum document for the Bachelor's Degree (S1) Program in Veterinary Medicine and the Guidelines for the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Activities of FVM Unud. The meeting began with a comprehensive presentation by the Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs of FVM Unud, who handed over strategic documents designed as the pillars of academic implementation for the upcoming 2026/2027 Academic Year. These documents encompass updates to the course structure, the integration of graduate learning outcomes, and guidelines for implementing the innovative MBKM program for students both internally and externally.

Through interactive discussions, the 21 attending senate members provided various inputs, constructive corrections, and recommendations before the document was finally approved for ratification. With the renewal of these academic documents, FVM Unud is ready to welcome the 2026/2027 Academic Year with a learning system that is more adaptive, inclusive, and oriented toward improving students' professional competencies.

The strategic step of establishing the curriculum document and MBKM guidelines is a tangible manifestation of FVM Unud's commitment to supporting the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education. Periodic curriculum adjustments ensure that the quality of veterinary graduates is globally competitive, adaptive, and responsive to modern industry dynamics.
