Proud! LPM Suara Satwa FKH Unud Achieves Bronze Winner in Prestigious National Competition
The Student Press Intuition (LPM) Suara Satwa of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Udayana University has achieved a remarkable feat at the 2024 Serikat Perusahaan Pers (SPS) Awards. The prestigious SPS Awards Competition 2024, aimed at recognizing journalistic works from media, campuses, and institutions across Indonesia, took place on Tuesday, April 30th 2024, at Hotel Ciputra Jakarta, West Jakarta.
"The Serikat Perusahaan Pers (SPS) is the oldest press company organization, established 78 years ago, with most of its members being print media companies. To motivate and appreciate print media managers, for the 15th time, we have organized the SPS Awards," said the newly elected chairman of the Serikat Perusahaan Pers (SPS) for the 2023-2027 term, Januar P. Ruswita, during his address at this grand event.
Carrying the theme "Pers Sehat, Demokrasi Kuat" this year is SPS Awards featured several categories, including the Indonesia Print Media Awards (IPMA), Indonesia Inhouse Magazine Awards (Inma), Indonesia Young Readers Awards (IYRA), Indonesia Students Media Awards (ISMA), and Indonesia Digital Media Awards (IDMA).
This year, LPM Suara Satwa of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Udayana University successfully competed with a total of 85 contestants in the Indonesia Students Media Awards (ISMA) category and brought home a Bronze Winner award from the SPS Awards. The magazine from the Majalah Suara Satwa management period 2022, precisely Vol.41/No.73/Sem. Ganjil/July 14, 2023, managed to become one of the three recipients of the Bronze Winner award in the Indonesia Student Media Awards (ISMA) 2024 category, under the subcategory "The Best of Student’s Magazine."
Representing LPM Suara Satwa at the event, the former board member of LPM Suara Satwa for the 2022 period, Zidan Ramadhan, expressed his joy and pride in this achievement. "Of course, it's very exciting to see how our friends at Suara Satwa once again receive recognition and triumph over 80 contestants from across Indonesia," Zidan explained in a brief interview via text message on Thursday (02/05). He also urged everyone to strive to be better, more creative, and more cohesive for the future of LPM Suara Satwa.
