Marking the Start of a Professional Journey, FKH Unud Holds Graduation Ceremony for Prospective Graduates and Inauguration of Veterinarians for April 2025 Period


Monday, April 14, 2025, The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Udayana University (FKH Unud) held a Graduates Farewell Ceremony along with the Inauguration and Oath-Taking of Veterinarians at the Nusantara Hall, Agrocomplex Building, Udayana University, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Bali. This event was attended by the Dean and Vice Deans of FKH Unud, Chair of the Senate and Coordinator of Study Programs (Koprodi) and Coordinator of the Undergraduate Study Program of Veterinary Medicine Education, the Coordinator of the Professional Veterinary Program, the Coordinator of the Master Program in Veterinary Medicine, the Coordinator of the Information and Cooperation Management Unit (UPIKS), the Coordinator of the Research and Community Service Unit (UP2M), the Coordinator of the Learning Development and Quality Assurance Unit (UP3M), representatives of the Indonesian Veterinary Medical Association (PDHI) Bali, the Head of the Provincial Office of Agriculture and Food Security of Bali, the Heads of the Agriculture and Food Offices of Badung Regency and Denpasar City, the Head of the Denpasar Class I Agricultural Quarantine Center, the Head of the Agricultural Technology Assessment Center (BPTP), the Head of the Denpasar Center for Superior Livestock Breeding and Animal Feed (BPTU), the Udayana Alumni Association (IKAYANA), other invited guests, religious leaders representing five religions, and the graduates who are joyfully celebrating.

The event was symbolically opened with a performance of the Cendrawasih Dance and remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suartha, M.Si. In his remarks, he emphasized that the challenges in the professional world will be even greater, so graduates must continue to learn and adapt. Then, the Deputy Dean I for Academic and Planning of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. drh. I Gusti Ngurah Sudisma, M.Si., delivered and presented a report on the graduation period of April 2025. In his report, it was known that there were 47 veterinary medicine graduates consisting of 26 bachelor's graduates, 14 medical profession graduates, and seven master's graduates.

 

The highlight of the Graduates Farewell and Veterinarian Inauguration and Oath-Taking Ceremony was marked by the reading of the professional oath and the signing of official documents by the 14 professional program graduates, witnessed by religious leaders according to their respective faiths. The Deputy Chair of PDHI Bali Branch, drh. Dewa Hartanaya, recited the essence of the veterinary code of ethics while emphasizing the professional commitment that must be upheld.









FKH Unud presented special awards to outstanding graduates from each study program, including drh. Putu Risma Oktaviandari, S.K.H., M.Si., and drh. I Ketut Tomy Caesar Ramahda, S.K.H., M.Si. (Master's Program), drh. Kadek Ferdy Agastia Dwi Pratama, S.K.H., (Professional Program), as well as Tresna Putri Savanah, S.K.H. (Undergraduate Program). The event continued with the presentation of white coats and name tags to the professional graduates as an official marker of their status as veterinarians. Souvenirs were also given to the graduates and several parties who contributed to the success of the event.









The ceremony proceeded with remarks from a graduate representative, who expressed hope that all graduates would continue to support one another, learn, and work while upholding the good name of FKH Unud. A parent representative also shared their hopes that the graduates would become veterinarians who are beneficial to themselves and society. Additionally, the Dean of FKH Unud, in his speech, emphasized that professional challenges would grow greater, urging graduates to keep learning and adapting.







The event was then officially closed by the Dean of FKH Unud, which was followed by a group photo session. Thus, the event ran smoothly and meaningfully, marking the beginning of a new journey for veterinarians and FKH Unud graduates in the professional world. Congratulations and success on your graduation, may you become a veterinarian with integrity, lifelong learners, and upholders of your alma mater's reputation while remaining steadfast to Manusya Mriga Satwa Sewaka.
