Jimbaran — The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University (FVM Unud) evaluated its Key Performance Indicator (IKU) achievements for the second quarter of 2026 while strengthening academic and administrative preparations for the First Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year. The evaluation was discussed during a faculty meeting held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, in the Meeting Room on the 1st Floor of the FVM Unud Building, Sudirman Campus.

The meeting was chaired by the Dean of FVM Unud and attended by the Vice Deans, Heads of Study Programs, Unit Coordinators, Head of Administration, Sub-Coordinators, and all lecturers. The meeting was part of FVM Unud’s efforts to objectively review its performance achievements and formulate follow-up measures based on the evaluation results.

Based on the second-quarter evaluation, several indicators had met or exceeded their targets, particularly in the areas of partnerships, international recognition, non-educational revenue, and governance. One of these achievements was reflected in the outputs of partnerships between higher education institutions and start-ups, industries, and other institutions. Non-educational revenue as a proportion of total revenue also recorded a performance above the target.

At the same time, the evaluation served as a basis for the faculty to accelerate improvements in several areas, particularly international publications, human resource development, and the involvement of human resources in policy formulation. These improvement measures are aimed at gradually and sustainably strengthening overall performance.

In the area of publications, FVM Unud is encouraging the establishment of Publication Groups based on Fields of Expertise Groups (Kelompok Bidang Keahlian/KBK). These groups are expected to assist lecturers in preparing manuscripts through the journal submission process, enabling publication improvement to be carried out in a more structured manner in terms of both quantity and quality.

Student talent development is also part of the evaluation follow-up. The faculty will strengthen the role of Academic Advisors in providing academic guidance and monitoring students’ academic progress on a regular basis. This approach is expected to support students in navigating their academic journey more effectively.

In addition to academic aspects, the development of laboratory facilities and infrastructure is also receiving attention. The faculty will plan the procurement and upgrading of laboratory equipment and materials to support education and research activities.

To support the accreditation of the Master’s Program, FVM Unud is also targeting the completion of supporting documents and the alignment of evidence data. These efforts are intended to ensure the readiness of documents and data for the accreditation process.

Entering the third and fourth quarters of 2026, FVM Unud will focus on four main areas: publications and research, student talent development, human resource development and recognition, as well as data and governance improvement. The implementation of each program will be monitored regularly to ensure that follow-up measures proceed according to the established plans and targets.

The meeting also emphasized the importance of clear divisions of duties and responsibilities within FVM Unud. The faculty leadership encouraged study program coordinators, unit heads, laboratory or block heads, and lecturers to carry out their respective responsibilities in accordance with their authority.

Disciplined and timely completion of tasks, collaboration across units, and open communication are part of the faculty’s efforts to strengthen governance. Through these measures, each program is expected to move beyond the planning stage and be continuously monitored and evaluated based on measurable outcomes.

These efforts are in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, particularly in supporting the improvement of higher education quality, human resource competencies, learning, as well as research and academic capacity. Strengthening governance and accountability also supports SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions through effective, transparent, and accountable institutional management.

Through the IKU evaluation, FVM Unud continues to map its achievements while identifying areas that require further strengthening. The evaluation results serve as the basis for developing more targeted work plans for the First Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year and supporting the faculty’s continuous performance improvement.
