FVM Unud Strengthens Preparation for Master’s Program Accreditation in Veterinary Medicine through Document Mapping and OBE Curriculum Implementation

Denpasar — The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University (FVM Unud) is strengthening its preparation for the accreditation of the Master’s Program in Veterinary Medicine through an internal meeting of the Accreditation Task Force, held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Meeting Room on the 1st Floor of the FVM Unud Building, Sudirman Campus. The meeting was part of the effort to ensure the readiness of accreditation documents while evaluating several aspects of academics, quality assurance, student affairs, and study program governance.

The meeting discussed three main agendas: accreditation document mapping, the development of a curriculum and Semester Learning Plans (RPS) based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and the assignment of responsibilities to Task Force members to follow up on documents that still require completion.

One of the main focuses of the meeting was the implementation of an OBE-based curriculum. Based on the mapping results, the RPS for the Master’s Program in Veterinary Medicine at FVM Unud still needs to be adjusted to align with the OBE approach. Therefore, instructions or guidelines for developing OBE-based RPS are needed as a reference for all lecturers responsible for courses.

In addition to curriculum-related aspects, the team also identified several important documents that need to be reorganized. One of them is the Academic Manuscript for the establishment of the Master’s Program in Veterinary Medicine in 2021, including documents related to the vision, mission, goals, and objectives that require review, as well as the Standard Operating Procedure for the establishment of the study program. These documents are considered important as part of the completeness of the study program’s establishment records.

To ensure that the process proceeds in an organized manner, the meeting established the distribution of responsibilities among the relevant parties. All lecturers responsible for courses are tasked with adjusting the RPS based on the OBE approach. Meanwhile, the reconstruction of the study program establishment documents, collection of Tridharma data, management of the scientific roadmap, provision of the Strategic Plan and Operational Plan, as well as the collection of budget data, were assigned to the respective persons in charge (PIC’s) according to their areas of responsibility. The Head of the Study Program, together with the Task Force team, was also assigned responsibility for preparing several supporting documents for accreditation.

Through this mapping process, accreditation preparation is not solely focused on fulfilling administrative requirements but also serves as part of the evaluation and strengthening of the academic governance of the Master’s Program in Veterinary Medicine. This initiative is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through efforts to strengthen the quality of learning processes, curriculum, and higher education quality assurance systems. The initiative is also related to SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, particularly through the strengthening of governance, administrative systems, evaluation, and institutional accountability.

With clear task distribution and systematic mapping of document requirements, the accreditation preparation process is expected to proceed in a more structured manner. The results of the meeting will serve as a basis for each PIC and relevant unit to follow up on the required documents and improvements according to their respective responsibilities.
