FVM Unud Strengthens Accreditation Preparation for the Master’s Study Program in Veterinary Medicine

Denpasar — The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) of Universitas Udayana (Unud) held a Meeting on the Accreditation Preparation for the Master’s Study Program in Veterinary Medicine on Tuesday (July 28, 2026), at the FVM Unud Meeting Room. The meeting marked an initial step in preparing for the accreditation process in a structured manner through the fulfillment of documents, supporting data, and evidence in accordance with the applicable accreditation instruments.

The meeting was led by the Dean of FVM Unud and attended by the Vice Deans, the Accreditation Task Force Team, the Education Development and Quality Assurance Unit (UP3M), the Head of the Master’s Study Program in Veterinary Medicine, education personnel, and other relevant parties.

In his remarks, the Dean of FVM Unud emphasized that the accreditation process is a shared responsibility that requires coordination and commitment from all parties. Each unit is expected to carry out its duties according to the assigned responsibilities and agreed-upon schedule so that the preparation of documents can be conducted effectively and in a timely manner.

During the meeting, the Accreditation Task Force Team presented an overview of the accreditation instruments, the stages of document preparation, the required supporting data, and strategies for fulfilling each assessment criterion. The assignment of responsibilities to the respective persons in charge of each criterion was also discussed, including the mechanism for collecting evidence and the document completion targets.

The Master’s Study Program in Veterinary Medicine has several aspects that need to be prepared for the accreditation process, including vision and mission, curriculum, assessment, students, lecturers and education personnel, research and community service, facilities and infrastructure, education and finance, quality assurance, as well as governance and administration.

The meeting discussion also covered data mapping, the completeness of academic and non-academic documents, the preparation of the Self-Evaluation Report and the Study Program Performance Report, as well as the identification of documents that still need to be completed. Each person in charge reported the readiness of their respective units and the challenges encountered, which were then jointly addressed by formulating appropriate solutions.

As a follow-up, each person in charge of the respective criteria will conduct an inventory and prepare documents based on the assigned responsibilities. The Task Force Team together with UP3M will conduct regular monitoring, while coordination meetings will be held routinely to monitor progress, evaluate challenges, and ensure that all documents are completed according to the target.

The preparation of the accreditation documents for the Master’s Study Program in Veterinary Medicine is targeted for completion by October 2026. This target is also part of the preparation for the mentoring process by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes).

Through structured and collaborative preparation, FVM Unud continues to strengthen the higher education quality assurance system as part of its efforts to maintain and improve the quality of higher education provision. This initiative is in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, particularly in supporting the provision of quality and sustainable higher education.

With continuous coordination among the study program, faculty, UP3M, Task Force Team, and relevant units, the accreditation preparation process is expected to proceed according to the established stages and produce documents that objectively and comprehensively reflect the performance and management of the Master’s Study Program in Veterinary Medicine.
