FVM Unud Finalizes Preparations for National Seminar 2026, Strengthening Scientific Forum and Alumni Collaboration

Denpasar — The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University (FVM Unud) continues to finalize preparations for the 2026 National Seminar, scheduled to take place on November 6, 2026. The preparations are focused not only on the technical aspects of the event, but also on strengthening the scientific agenda, facilitating the publication of research findings, and expanding networks among FVM Unud, its alumni, and professional communities.

These preparations were discussed during the organizing committee’s coordination meeting on September 1, 2026. One of the main focuses was the development of a program that will bring participants together in plenary and parallel sessions. The planned agenda includes a keynote speaker session, discussions, a discussion on the Draft Law, a meeting of the Senate of Faculties of Veterinary Medicine across Indonesia, a meeting of the Association of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology Lecturers, as well as a scientific conference and scientific presentations.

For the scientific program, the committee has prepared the registration link and opened abstract submissions starting September 1, 2026. A total of 40 participants are targeted to take part in the scientific presentation sessions, with abstract submissions accepted from September 30 to October 7, 2026. Submitted manuscripts will be categorized based on their type and topic, including original research and case reports, to ensure they are assigned to the appropriate presentation sessions.

The seminar is also intended to expand opportunities for scientific publication. The registration form will provide publication target options for three journals affiliated with FVM Unud. Meanwhile, manuscripts that are not submitted to the journals are planned to be compiled into a Book of Abstracts, subject to confirmation from the respective authors regarding their willingness to have their work included.

Beyond the scientific agenda, the series of activities will also serve as an opportunity to strengthen communication with alumni. Alumni will be invited to participate, with representatives from each graduating cohort serving as coordinators. During the meeting, the importance of establishing more intensive communication between alumni and FVM Unud was also emphasized, allowing opportunities for collaboration to be developed more effectively.

The 2026 National Seminar is part of the series of activities commemorating the Dies Natalis of BKKH. Through this forum, FVM Unud provides a platform for scientific presenters to share their work and research findings, while also creating opportunities for knowledge exchange and the development of professional networks in the field of veterinary medicine.

The preparations for the 2026 National Seminar are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDGs 4: Quality Education, SDGs 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and SDGs 17: Partnerships for the Goals. These three goals are relevant to strengthening scientific forums, disseminating knowledge and research findings, and building collaborative networks as integral components of the seminar agenda.
