FVM Udayana Successfully Holds Graduation Ceremony for Prospective Graduates and Inauguration and Oath of Veterinary Doctors for the February 2026 Period
On Thursday, February 26, 2026, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Udayana University (FVM Udayana University) held the Graduation and Veterinarian Oath-Taking Ceremony at the Nusantara Room, 4th Floor, Agrokompleks Building, Udayana University, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar.
The event was attended by the Dean of FVM Udayana University, Vice Dean (WD) I of FVM Udayana University, the Chair of the Senate, representatives of the Indonesian Veterinary Medical Association (PDHI) Bali Branch, the Director of the Unud Veterinary Teaching Hospital, the Study Program Coordinators (Koprodi) of FVM Udayana University, the Coordinator of the Information Management and Cooperation Unit of FVM Udayana University, the Coordinator of the Learning Development and Quality Assurance Unit, the Head of the Badung Regency Agriculture and Food Department/Head of the Animal Health Division, the Head of the Denpasar City Agriculture Department/Head of the Animal Health Division, the Head of the Denpasar Veterinary Center, the Head of the Bali Veterinary, Fish, and Plant Quarantine Center, the Head of the Denpasar Superior Animal Breeding and Forage Center, the Management of Charoen Pokphand Bali, the Chairman of the Udayana University Alumni Family Association (Ikayana) FVM Udayana University Commissariat, clergy from Islam, Protestant Christianity, Catholic Christianity, and Hinduism, as well as graduates and parents/guardians of graduates.
The event began with the official opening by the Dean of FVM Udayana University, Dr. drh. I Gusti Ngurah, M.Si., by singing the FVM Udayana University Hymn and followed by a performance of the Panyembrama dance. The event was then followed by a report from WD I for Academic and Planning Affairs, Prof. Dr. drh. I Wayan Suardana, M.Si. In his report, he stated that the graduates for the February 2026 period totaled 47 graduates, consisting of six master's graduates and 41 professional veterinary graduates.
Entering the main agenda, the event featured the inauguration and signing of the oath for professional veterinary graduates, led directly by the Dean of FVM Udayana University and witnessed by four clergy members. This ceremony officially marks their commitment to carrying out the veterinary profession responsibly toward animal welfare, society, and the environment. Subsequently, the event included the reading of the core principles of the Veterinarian’s Code of Ethics by a representative of the PDHI Bali Branch, drh. Made Hartanaya, to reinforce the commitment of the veterinary graduates in understanding and upholding the applicable ethical standards, followed by a session of presenting certificates and plaques by the Dean, WD I, Chair of the Senate, and the Coordinators of the Undergraduate and Master's Programs to the master's and professional veterinary graduates as a form of appreciation.
Not only that, there was also a session for remarks from the representative of the professional veterinary graduates, drh. Lefira, S.K.H. She expressed her gratitude to all parties involved during their studies for the knowledge, guidance, and support provided throughout the process. She also conveyed her hope that the title now held as a veterinarian may serve as a responsibility to contribute to the advancement of the veterinary field and have an impact on society. On the same occasion, the representative of the graduates' parents also expressed pride and gratitude to the faculty for their role in educating and guiding their children, so that they could finally hold the title of veterinarian. Furthermore, the Dean of FVM Udayana University also delivered his remarks. In his speech, he expressed that what the graduates had obtained should serve as a beneficial provision while remaining mindful of the applicable code of ethics.
After the delivery of impressions and messages, the event continued with the presentation of certificates to the best graduates with the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) of the master's and professional veterinary programs, which were achieved by:
- drh. Kadek Ferdy Agastia Dwi Pratama, M.Si., as the best graduate of the master's program with a GPA of 3.94;
- drh. Lefira, S.K.H., as the best graduate of the professional veterinary program with a GPA of 3.93.
The series of events concluded with the symbolic handover of the new veterinarians to PDHI Bali Branch through the pinning of the sneli, as well as the handover of alumni to the Chairman of the Ikayana FVM Udayana University Commissariat. The event was then closed with a documentation session and the singing of the song “Syukur” as a sign of gratitude for the smooth running of the entire ceremony.
