Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Udayana University and PT Sanbe Farma – PT Caprifarmindo Formalize Strategic Partnership to Strengthen Tri Dharma and the Veterinary Industry

DENPASAR – The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) of Udayana University (Unud) has reinforced its collaborative network with the industrial sector through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with PT Sanbe Farma and PT Caprifarmindo on Wednesday (March 11, 2026). The virtual event, held via Zoom Meeting, was attended by key leaders from both organizations, including the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance of FVM Unud, Prof. drh. I Made Kardena, MVS, Ph.D., the Head of the Information Management and Cooperation Unit, and the FVM Unud Domestic Cooperation Team. Representing the industry were the Head of the Veterinary Division of PT Sanbe Farma, drh. Anak Agung Made Agung Adnyana, the Head of the Vaccine Plant at PT Caprifarmindo, drh. Maryono, along with strategic managers from the Quality Assurance, Sales, and Product Support divisions.

In his opening remarks on behalf of the Dean, Prof. drh. I Made Kardena emphasized that this partnership is a strategic step toward synergizing academic potential with real-world industrial needs. The primary focus of this partnership is to strengthen the implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (the Three Pillars of Higher Education), which includes Education, Research, and Community Service. Prof. Kardena expressed his hope that this collaboration would foster an educational ecosystem that is adaptive to technological advancements in animal health, while also serving as a platform to develop high-quality, industry-ready human resources for both national and international stages.

Responding to the collaboration, drh. Anak Agung Made Agung Adnyana, Head of the Veterinary Division at PT Sanbe Farma, warmly welcomed the formalization of this agreement. He noted that, in practice, the collaboration between Sanbe and Unud has been long-established through campus lectures, professional training for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Programs (DVM) students, and a rabies vaccine pilot project in Kintamani. Currently, joint research is being conducted by Unud undergraduate and postgraduate students in both laboratory and field settings. The event concluded with a symbolic signing ceremony and a group photo session, during which drh. Agung proudly introduced several FVM Unud alumni who are currently building successful careers and contributing significantly to PT Sanbe Farma.
