Celebrate the Youth Pledge, Faculty of Medicine Student Executive Board Animals Udayana University Holding an Environmental Love Action in an Activity entitled Vet Care the Shore (VCS)

On Saturday, 28 October 2023, the Community Service division of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) of Udayana University (Unud) together with volunteers carried out the Vet Care the Shore (VCS) activity which was held at Seseh Cemagi Beach, Badung.

The aim of carrying out this activity is to show action from our sense of concern for the surrounding environment and also to maintain the sustainability of the ecosystem around Seseh Beach from plastic waste and also to build a sense of togetherness in order to celebrate Youth Pledge Day which falls today (28/10).

This activity starts with preparations at 11.00 WITA to prepare the tools needed to clean the beach and continues with preparing for consumption which will later be distributed when the cleaning activity is finished. Starting at 14.00 WITA, all volunteers who will take part in

 

this activity gather at the FKH Unud Sudirman Internet Park and leave for Seseh Beach together.

The activity was opened by Anggita Raka and Rani Widya Sari who were in charge of today's activities, followed by a few words from Lefira as Deputy Chair of BEM FKH Unud, and continued with remarks by Mr. I Ketut Agus Adi Putra as Keihan Adat Banjar Dinas Seseh. "I thank all of you for making Seseh Beach the place to do this activity. I hope that all

of you don't stop loving nature here," said Mr. Agus.

Furthermore, the symbolic giving of a trash can to Mr. Agus marked the start of this activity. Cleaning is carried out in approximately two hours and the rubbish that we have collected will then be collected first. After that, the activity continued with preparations and at

16.30 WITA we together consumed the mixed ice and fried food that had been provided until it was finished and continued with a free program.

"In my opinion, this beach cleaning activity is no less exciting than the previous activity last semester. From the whole series of events collecting rubbish on the beach and bonding with other volunteers, this activity was very enjoyable. "In particular, I am happy to be able to help the local community in taking action to care for the cleanliness of the environment on the beach," said Jeanette, one of the volunteers for VCS activities.
