Along with Turtle Conservation and Education Center also Marine Guard, Professional Interest Turtle Guard FVM Unud is Releasing Chelonia Mydas to the Sea
Turtle Guard Professional Interest, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University participated in the release of the green turtle (Chelonia mydas) on Tuesday (30/8) at Mengiat Beach Nusa Dua, Badung Regency. by the Bali Nature Conservation Agency.
In this activity, a total of 20 turtles were released into the wild. These turtles were caught from operations or confiscated from the Bali Police Criminal Division on August 2, 2022 on Jalan Raya Ketewel, Ketewel Village, Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency. Before being released into the wild, these 20 green turtles were placed in the Bali Exotic Marine Park. Apart from being relocated, the turtles that were confiscated were also observed and treated. There are still 8 turtles that are still in the treatment process.
Professional Interest Turtle Guard joined together with TCEC Serangan and Marine Guard to participate in this green turtle release activity. Professional Interests Turtle Guard is a student organization of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University who has an interest in Aquatic Animals such as Turtles and Marine Mammals. On this occasion the Turtle Guard Professional Interest participated in helping the transfer of turtles to the beach. Minpro Turtle Guard is quite experienced in handling stranded animal incidents, including turtles, dolphins and other marine mammals
